Good News! Genistein – 60 x 125mg capsules are back in stock.

Genistein is an isoflavone, a naturally occurring chemical found in soy beans, legumes and red clover. It is similar in structure to the hormone oestrogen and is used to regulate hormone activity and treat symptoms of menopause. There is some evidence that genistein may have chemopreventative and therapeutic effects on certain types of cancer [12].

Following four years of intensive research, our scientists have developed an enhanced formulation of genistein that has demonstrated improved dissolution and disintegration times compared to similar products. This means that the genistein is more readily absorbed into the bloodstream and can perform more effectively.

In our bioavailability studies, we compared the pharmacokinetics of our formulation of genistein compared with a similar product available on the market. We found that the maximum concentration of our product was 34% higher with 10% higher AUC. This represents a significantly higher maximum observed plasma concentration and a slight but important increase in exposure. The full study, Genistein as a dietary supplement; formulation, analysis and pharmacokinetic study, can be read here (plos.org)

Genistein has been developed in our ISO 22000-certified facilities in Europe following the strictest guidelines of pharmacopoeia usually reserved for the development of medicinal drugs.
